Plank, herringbone, oversized herringbone (up to 1500mm blocks), chevron, multi-species marquetry, bespoke patterns. Single-material specification across multiple zones.
27°C surface
UFH-compatible across the range. Engineered construction tolerates the seasonal RH range of UFH-served interiors that solid oak cannot.
FSC + EPD
FSC / PEFC chain-of-custody. Full EPD documentation per project. BREEAM Mat 03 Excellent on responsibly-sourced material.
2-6mm
real oak top layer
~40% less real timber per m² versus solid oak parquet. The substrate handles structural load; the top layer delivers the visual and the sand/refinish life.

Cunard Queen Mary 2 -- multi-species marquetry plank.
The QM2 ballroom dance floor uses a Winderen multi-species marquetry plank -- a custom mixed-species engineered specification that runs across the full ballroom, performs under heavy guest traffic, and tolerates the marine humidity cycle that would split solid timber within a single voyage.
Engineered, not solid, was the only viable specification.
