BOFA is our collaboration with Oslek Coatings: honest engineered timber, finished with a breathable, VOC-free hardwax oil instead of a plastic-film lacquer. It comes two ways, in statement colours from 6FT Blue to Aperol Orange, and in a full bank of classic natural tones. Either way, the only thing lingering in the air is air.
The clean-air finish
Every BOFA floor is finished with Oslek’s LED hardwax oil, a penetrative oil that soaks into the timber rather than sitting on top as a film. It is 99.4% VOC-free, rated Indoor Air Comfort Gold, French VOC Regulation A+ and EMICODE EC1 Plus, and it cures instantly under LED light. A traditional solvent-based lacquer can off-gas VOCs into a room for weeks, even months, after installation, the usual cause of that new-floor smell and headaches in new spaces. Honest construction
BOFA is built on a strong multilayer plywood core, cross-laminated for stability, with a thick 3 to 6mm veneer of solid oak, walnut or ash, real timber where it counts. It is FSC-certified with 100% natural origins, and meets EN 13501 Cfl-s1 for fire, EN 717-1 E1 for formaldehyde and DIN EN ISO 10140-3 for noise reduction. A polyurethane adhesive (not PVA) makes it suitable for underfloor heating, bonded or floated, in homes and commercial spaces, and it carries a 25-year warranty.

It cures instantly under LED light, so there is no weeks-long off-gassing period, the room is safe to occupy as soon as the floor is laid. What formats and sizes does BOFA come in?
Plank (11 to 19mm thick, widths from 90 to 250mm, random lengths 500 to 2400mm), herringbone (600mm) and chevron (600mm, 30 or 45 degree). Any colour can be applied to any format.
Is BOFA suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes. BOFA uses a polyurethane adhesive rather than PVA and can be fully bonded or floated, making it suitable for underfloor heating in both domestic and commercial settings.
Is BOFA sustainable and certified?
