Flooring Systems & Build-Ups

Most projects need more than one floor. We supply sustainable cork, FSC-certified engineered oak and acoustic underlay as one coordinated system, so an entire scheme runs through a single supplier, on one delivery schedule, with one BREEAM evidence pack.

The build-up: subfloor to finish

We specify every floor as a layered build-up rather than a single product: the subfloor, an acoustic layer, and the visible finish. For separating floors and resilient finishes that means SilentLay acoustic underlay (Silent Lay+ in 2 mm or SilentLay3.0 in 3 mm) beneath engineered oak, cork or our Organic collection. Taking the whole stack from one place keeps the acoustic, thermal and moisture details coordinated instead of specified in isolation.

The right material in the right zone

A single building rarely wants a single finish. We help specifiers mix materials across zones and keep the detailing consistent at the transitions:

  • Reception, workspace and living areas – Winderen engineered oak, 500+ colours with bespoke colour matching.
  • Kitchens, bathrooms and high-moisture areas – Classic Cork: warm, quiet and moisture-tolerant.
  • Flats and separating floors – a SilentLay acoustic build-up to meet Approved Document Part E.
  • Healthcare, education and high-traffic areas – cork and Organic for acoustics, comfort underfoot and cleanability.

Compatibility built in

Our systems are specified to work with underfloor heating, to support Part E impact-sound targets with the correct underlay, and to suit the moisture condition of the subfloor. Full technical and acoustic data (EPDs with A1-A3 carbon figures and emissions certificates for BREEAM, WELL and LEED) is available with every quote and in our downloads library.

One supplier, one line of accountability

Because we are supply-only, there is no channel conflict with your contractor. You get one point of contact from sample to delivery, a single delivery schedule for the whole floor, and one coordinated BREEAM evidence pack – not three separate suppliers to reconcile. The matching step edge comes from The Nosing Collection – made-to-order solid oak stair nosings, glued down with MonoSil P, our solvent-free EC1 Plus adhesive.
