The Floor Gallery supplies flooring to interior designers across the UK. We work supply-only, directly with design studios, bringing the full palette of natural and low-impact floors under one supplier, with bespoke colour matching, next-day samples to your studio and a London showroom. We do not fit floors, so our advice is led by what suits your scheme rather than by a single product.
What interior designers get from The Floor Gallery
Designers come to us for the things a scheme actually turns on:
- Breadth of material and tone: cork, engineered oak, hybrid wood, end-grain, PVC-free resilient, laminate and custom-colour timber, from pale Nordic through to near-black.
- Bespoke colour matching to a sample, a RAL reference, a paint swatch or a joinery piece, so the floor sits with the rest of the scheme.
- Samples to the studio: next-day in London, anywhere in the UK within a week, with sample sets you can present to clients.
- A London showroom for reviewing material in person, plus studio presentations of the full range.
- Matched accessories: stair nosings, trims and door bars finished to the same colour as the floor.
- Specification data when a project needs it: fire, acoustic, slip, light reflectance and environmental credentials.
The full material palette
One supplier covers the whole floor palette, so a designer can hold a scheme together across rooms and materials:
- Engineered oak: the Winderen collection in over 200 colours, from raw pale tones to deep smoked and oiled finishes, in plank, herringbone and chevron.
- Walnut and dark timber: real black American walnut, dark-stained and smoked oak, and reclaimed wenge for feature areas. See our walnut and dark timber page.
- BOFA: custom-colour timber finished with a VOC-free hardwax oil, when the scheme needs a specific shade.
- Cork: Classic Cork and Cork Styles, warm, quiet and carbon negative, used by retail and hospitality studios.
- Organic: a PVC-free resilient floor for healthcare, education and wellness interiors.
- End-grain oak and Sirani laminate for feature floors and value-led specifications.
Bespoke colour matching for your scheme
We match flooring to the rest of your interior through two finishing routes: a Yorkshire site for fully bespoke one-off colours and matched accessories, and a Portugal site for consistency across large areas. Send a sample, a RAL reference or a joinery finish and we make up matched samples before you specify. Our BOFA collection is the capability in ready-made form: custom-colour timber in tones from pale to near-black. See bespoke colour matching and BOFA.
Samples, studio presentations and showroom
Samples reach London next-day and anywhere in the UK within a week. We send sample sets to your studio so you can present options to clients, run through the full range in a studio presentation, and host material reviews at the Taylor Maxwell flagship London showroom. Because we are supply-only, we work alongside your contractor and fitting team rather than competing with them.
Design studios we work with
We supply directly to leading UK design practices, including Sybarite, who run cork in their own Sloane Square studio and specify it across retail flagships, Studio KKD, who specified American walnut at 35 Grosvenor Street, Studio ROWE, who used Winderen herringbone at Stirrups Hotel, and Fettle Design and Virgile and Partners among others. Our floors have been specified for the Cunard Queen Mary 2, Lacoste and Landmark Pinnacle.
