Vermont engineered oak brings warmth and craft to one of Cork’s best-known hotels, laid in both wide plank and classic herringbone across the scheme.

The River Lee Hotel sits on the banks of the river it takes its name from, in the heart of Cork. For its interiors we supplied our Vermont engineered oak in two formats – wide plank for the open, flowing spaces, and herringbone where the design called for pattern and formality. The result is a floor that feels tailored to each area while reading as one material throughout: hard-wearing enough for the constant footfall of a busy hotel, and warm enough to soften it.

Vermont is a PEFC-certified engineered oak built for commercial life, which made it a natural fit for a hospitality interior that has to look considered and take heavy use in equal measure. Supplied through one point of contact, it sat alongside the rest of the specification as part of a single, coordinated floor.
