Residential Winderen Herringbone - In-Progress Install

Residential Winderen Herringbone — In-Progress Install

An in-progress install shot from a UK residential project specified in Winderen Collection herringbone. Photographed during the install, before the carpet, soft furnishing, art and styling decisions go in — when the floor is the only finished surface in the room and the herringbone pattern reads under construction-site lighting.

Why “in the works” install shots matter for specifiers

Most residential herringbone photography is of the finished room: lighting on, furniture in, art on the walls, soft furnishings styled. That's a fine commercial photo and it sells the lifestyle, but it tells you almost nothing about the floor itself. Mid-install shots are different. The floor is the only finished thing in the room. Every block alignment, every herringbone joint, every transition reads under construction-site lighting. For an architect or specifier briefing a comparable residential herringbone job — “is the install quality going to land?” — this is the angle that actually answers the question.
