Our Endgrain Oak features on a CFJ Awards 2026 finalist project
We’re proud to share that flooring we supplied has been recognised on the industry stage. The Floor Gallery’s Endgrain Oak, in Basalt, was specified at MYO Kings Cross in London, a project shortlisted as a finalist in the Contract Flooring Journal (CFJ) Flooring Industry Awards 2026.
The project was entered by Tyrrell Flooring, and The Floor Gallery is named among the specialist suppliers on the scheme. The CFJ Awards are the UK contract-flooring industry’s long-running benchmark for installation, design and innovation, with winners announced in September 2026. Being part of a finalist project at a workspace of this profile is something the whole team is delighted with.
Endgrain Oak was a fitting choice for a busy flexible workspace like MYO Kings Cross. Because the blocks are laid on their end grain, the surface is among the hardest-wearing timber floors available, built to take relentless footfall while keeping a distinctive, characterful look. The deep, charcoal-toned Basalt colourway gives it a contemporary, architectural edge.
A note on the detail: this is a finalist (shortlist) recognition for the project, not a win, and The Floor Gallery is one of several suppliers, we’re proud to have contributed the Endgrain Oak rather than claiming the entry as our own. We’ll share an update once the results are announced.
If you’re specifying a hard-wearing, design-led timber floor for a commercial or workplace scheme, our Endgrain range is built for exactly this kind of traffic.
