Landmark Pinnacle
Winderen herringbone across all 984 apartments, and Winderen Herringbone Walnut in the private residents’ cinema, at Western Europe’s tallest residential tower.
At 239 metres, Landmark Pinnacle is the tallest residential tower in Western Europe, and from the entrance lobby to the 75th-floor sky lounge, the floor underfoot is Winderen herringbone.
Specifying a single engineered wood floor across 984 apartments is an exercise in consistency. Every plank had to land the same tone, the same finish and the same wear performance, whether it was installed on the second floor or the seventy-fourth. Winderen herringbone gave the design team a floor that reads as one material throughout the building, with the dimensional stability engineered wood needs at height.
In the private residents’ cinema we specified Winderen Herringbone Walnut, a darker, warmer counterpoint to the oak used across the apartments. The result is a flooring scheme that scales without ever feeling repetitive, supporting Squire & Partners’ vision for one of London’s most recognisable towers.
